Good Morning:
What a GREAT meeting last week! Our theme for the day was "Value of Time"
! As each of us is improving individually, it seems that our team as a whole is getting way more dynamic- making our meetings refreshing, entertaining and enthusiastic, and an encouragement to us for the rest of the week!!
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we can be a Distinguished Club. WE CAN DO THAT- for sure!! The way our club is growing, I can't see why we can't do that within the next few months. SO guys, let's do it!
We had two fantastic speeches.. very entertaining and motivational! TM Jabair delivered his 2nd speech and TM Ahmed Zaitoun [our ex-president] delivered a general speech. Both of these speakers delivered so wonderful speeches that all the audience was very excited. A BIG round of applause for TM Jabair for delivering a memorable speech. Well done Mr. Jabair.
TM Hussam Alsawadi conducted a great Table Topics Session. Simply a stunning Job, TM Hussam. TM Basharat, our newest member, elected Best Table Topic! Congratulations, Basharat!! A BIG round of applause for our honorable guest TM Jouda for delivering a wonder speech.
Next week- TM Rayees Syed will be the Toastmaster and TM Syed Waqas will be Table Topics Master. The Evaluation Chairman will be toastmaster Ahmed Zaitoun.
It's really exciting to see the newest members jumping right in! That's the best way to get ahead... you've heard it said "Just do it", or "Do it now".. there is a reason successful people acheive... they DO!
Hope to see everyone at our next meeting on 28th December, 2010. Don't forget to pass on the invitation to your friends!
If you want to know the value of one year, just ask a student who failed in his final exam.
If you want to know the value of one month, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.
If you want to know the value of a week, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.
If you want to know the value of a day, ask a schoolboy on the last day before summer vacation.
If you want to know the value of an hour, ask a criminal sentenced to death.
If you want to know the value of one minute, ask the person who just missed the bus.
If you want to know the value of one second, ask the person who just escaped death in a car accident.
And if you want to know the value of one-hundredth of a second, ask the athlete who won a silver medal in the Olympics.
So are you making your days count? Are you making the most of your life? What will you do with the life you have left? "The success of our life is not measured by its duration, but by its donation." It's not how long you live that counts, it's how well and wisely you live. None of us knows how much longer we have to live. The people who died in a road accident did not know that would be the last day of their lives. So if you haven't already, for your own sake, why don't you get right with your Creator this moment? Just ask the Almighty to forgive you for all your wrong choices and ways of living in the past, so you can start living His way everyday. He's the One Who can give you the help and power you need to live the rest of your life smart and safefor now and eternity.
